“Badger” is a personality-plus athlete with a promising future, a natural lead changer who can really get in the ground and turn around. He can be super fast yet stands quiet and has good speed changes, with 18 months of riding. He's as level-headed and smart as they come yet has a lot of motor when you ask for it, has been ridden in arenas and trails, and is great in traffic or alone.
He had 60 days as a two year old with cutting trainer Josh Sleeman who believed Badger was an open/futurity quality prospect. He's very cowy and will excel at reining, cutting and other cow events. 100% sound in body and mind, Badger does everything a show horse should and has been hauled a lot. He loves to work and tries to please, is not “finished” but can easily be ready for derbies this coming year.
Badger is near black, 14.1 hands, with correct conformation and excellent feet. He is sired by Joe Dee Doc, a performing/ producing son of Docs Superstud, and out of a Teninolena Badger daughter.
I will pay for one month's training with buyer's choice of reining/cow trainer after purchase.
This three year old gelding has had a solid foundation put on him with longevity in mind.
He will be a great derby contender.
